“Ayurveda can be properly understood with a pure heart” – Dr. Pragnesh Patel

Dr. Pragnesh Patel delivering a session on “Pain Management through Ayurveda” at Gujarat University.
It was a sunny day when I decided to attend a session on Pain management through ayurveda at Gujarat University. I and my senior Ankit Singh were planning to attend this session since 3 days before. After deciding a consecutive traveling plan, we reached Gujarat University (GU).
After reaching there I realized that, with a beautiful campus Gujarat University surely holds a vibrant spirit of knowledge dispersion. After reaching to the event’s venue, we were ready to witness an extraordinary session of knowledge sharing.
Dr. Pragnesh Patel, distinguished Chief Medical Officer of Sahaj Ayurveda, Adalaj, graced the occasion as the guest speaker. Renowned for his 15+ years of clinical experience encompassing patients of diverse age groups and his proficiency in Ayurvedic para-surgical procedures such as Siravedh and Agnikarma, Dr. Patel’s insights offered valuable perspectives on the topic.

Basically, the main focus of this topic was to showcase the power of ayurvedic knowledge & crucial need to put these practices on the surface of scientific blocks. The session discussed the types pain management strategies described in the ayurveda and followed thoroughly by the ayurvedic doctors all over the world. The different types of pain i.e. Vaatik vedana, Pittak Vedna, and Kaf Vedana are pertaining to the different methods of treatment, that completely eradicates the cause of pain.
Session also included the description about principles of different dosha’s and their management, and Sira Vyadh Chikitsa – its belonging, types and importance of having it for healthy & unhealthy individuals . Alongside the lecture, he was citing references in terms of Shloka’s (phrases) in Sanskrit and then presenting them in layman’s term.

This integrated way of perceiving knowledge turned seminar utterly engaging and transforming for every attendee. To be honest, not even for a single moment my brain went out of the talk. I & off course everyone of us were amazed with the type of crucial information we were getting.
The end notes of this session were:
- Learning to conduct our lifestyle in a better way with ease.
- Having awareness about our powerful ancient knowledge.
- Giving an initial try to ayurvedic approach even for severe disease like cancer, instead of going to allopathy.
Dr. Patel is a living epitome of providing healthcare for everyone with his great passion & devotion as a Seva (helpful offering). His strong commitment ensures the dispersion of ayurvedic approach globally.
I had a genuine meeting & one on one talk with him after session where he shared wonderful insights about his visionary journey in healthcare sector.
